Firefox 2 is great, and comes with many useful new features. But one feature annoyed me: If you’re used to opening many tabs, like I do, you may need to use the arrows at far right, or left, to be able to view them. That’s because in Firefox 2.0, tabs has a minimum width setting. To allow more visible tabs, we simply need to change that minimum. To do that, open a new Firefox window (Ctrl+T) and in the address bar, type:
about:config
Press enter, then, in the Filter bar, type:
browser.tabs.tabMinWidth
The default setting is: 100. Set it to whatever you want. I’ve set mine to 40 (which enables me to view 250% more tabs).
I hope that helps.
